Bluehost India Vs. Bluehost Com – Review & Quality

Update: Seems like all our effort has worked out, and now the Bluehost India website in 2020 is same as Bluehost USA site. So, you can buy hosting from Bluehost India, without worry!

Go to Bluehost India website

Bluehost has launched a localized version for India, which is known as Bluehost India. If you are in India and try to open the Bluehost site, you are more likely to be redirected to Bluehost Indian Hosting site. Chances are, you might end up signing up for the same, thinking it’s the same cPanel hosting that you will get.

Is Bluehost India same as Bluehost Global site?

Is it worth buying hosting from Bluehost Indian site?

In this guide, I will share the review of Bluehost India, my opinion about Indian Bluehost site, and help you make a buying decision.

Bluehost India review & History:

Here is a screenshot of Indian Bluehost site, which is exactly same as Bluehost U.S. (Global site). The only difference is, it’s localized for Indian users, and currency & Payment option is in Indian Currency (INR).

Note: Notice the arrow in above image, which takes you to Bluehost.com

History of Bluehost India:

Bluehost is owned by EIG group, and they own many other web hosting companies including Mumbai-based ResellerClub. Bluehost India is not a replica of Bluehost.com in the backend, and it’s the same hosting that is offered by Reseller Club. Bluehost.com offers customised dashboard, which I have talked in my earlier posts. Whereas Bluehost India has a dashboard, which you will find in all the reseller hosting provider via ResellerClub.

Chances are, if you end up buying hosting from in.bluehost.com, you will be confused to see a completely different dashboard than expected. Here is a screenshot of the Bluehost India dashboard:

And this is how Bluehost.com dashboard looks like:

One good thing is, Bluehost India offers standard cPanel, and it would be convenient for anyone to manage their hosting. Bluehost India is useful for Indian customers who can’t pay using a Credit card and need a localized payment option. Though as an Indian user, you have the option to buy hosting from U.S server or Indian server using Bluehost India.

Which is better: Bluehost.com or Bluehost India?

As I mentioned above, Bluehost India is not exactly the same as Bluehost.com, and my recommendation would prefer Bluehost com over Indian Bluehost site. Bluehost India is recommended only when you don’t have an international payment option, and you need to pay in INR. I can’t comment on the quality of server at this stage, as neither me or any of my client have used Bluehost Indian server for their sites.

What really concerns me is the support quality, which wouldn’t be same as Bluehost.com. If you are looking for a single recommendation, prefer Bluehost.com over Indian Bluehost site. If you are redirected to Bluehost Indian site, refer to the first image above, and click on it to redirect to Bluehost.com.

Do let me know if you have any query regarding Bluehost India hosting. Don’t forget to share your feedback & review of Bluehost India web hosting in the comment section below.

    • Hi Anshul,

I am on the same boat ans started my new blog on Bluehost India only. As I don't have any option left, I have started blogging on that only. I think your website is quite heavy with lot of content. How is your experience so far?
I have also faced that customer support issue and got depressed. But anyway, let see how far I can continue with Bluehost India.

      • Same here guys, did a stupid mistake! If you find out any ways to transfer it to bluehost.com, do share it.

  • I am using Bluehost India currently. They are also good. Their price is also reasonable and customer support , server time is superb.

  • Their hosting prices are not same.... I have been checking quite a lot on this and even had an online chat on bluehost... The indian site is lesser by aprrox 3K... They said that Indian site is totally different and runs on a different server.... So prices vary...

  • I went through Harsh's pdf to set p mu blog, I started with bluehost india, but to my dismay i had to buy a new domain, as there was no option for the free domain..
now im confused whether to buy hosting in bluehost india or bluehost.com.
Can anyone help me decide... as for customer support, bluehost.com is just a live chat away.
    bluehost india doesnt have that

  • Hi Harsh,
Just bought hosting from in.bluehost (by mistake) and cannot find 'one-click' install for wordpress !! I'd thought it would be there in cpanel. Any idea what's the deal ?
    Thanks,

  • Dear Harsh,

Can you please let me know, how to install wordpress through Bluehost India Linux sharing host. I am also try with manual and automatic options but I can't see the last wordpress site as per video tutorials. How can cross the issue.

  • Does bluehost.com servers cause the website to be slow since their servers are utah based. Complete Traffic on my website is from India.

I am unable to figure where are the bluehost.in Servers located. I might need a CDN if I am using bluehost.com since it is making my website very slow.

    Any suggestions?

    • @Aakash
I prefer Bluehost U.S over Bluehost India. I would suggest use a CDN service like MaxCDN N it would take care of loading time issue.

  • I recently attempted to buy a wordpress hosting plan from Bluehost India, but wrongly end up in buying one add on product namely Sitelock as it was auto selected. On my request to adjust this add on amount with my intended wordpress hosting plan, they simply refused in the name of their policies. It clearly reflects their intentions. They are cheating customers in the name of thier policies. This fact is also obvious from their reviews on many other sites. Just Google for their reviews and you will come to know the fact.
